- Coordinates and maintains schedule for work crews with Field Supervisor and Operations Coordinator.
- Supervises work crews.
- Responsible for job quality.
- Completes monthly assessments of vehicles and equipment.
- Reports concerns or necessary maintenance.
- Conducts safety training for crew members.
- Conducts weekly “tailgate” safety meetings.
- Communicates service issues to Branch Superintendents / Office.
- Maintains and submits daily time sheets.
- Has some client contact/coordination.
- Communicates completion of work orders.
- Constant need (100% during production time) to be on feet.
- Can bend/stoop/squat/kneel.
- Climb stairs.
- Push or pull.
- Reach over the shoulder.
- Grasp and grip.
- Lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- 50-75 lbs. - Requires assistance.
- 75-150 lbs.- Requires assistance.
- Recent landscape construction and/or landscape maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of the construction industry is helpful.
- Knowledge of equipment and required maintenance.
- Ability to supervise and schedule work for others.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- One to two years' experience in field operations.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in landscape and irrigation-related experience required.
- Current and valid CA DL with a clean driving record.
- Must clear pre-employment background check and drug test.

Job Title: Landscaping Crew Lead.

Classification: Full-Time.
Wage Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt $19-$21 per hour DOE.
Report To: Field Supervisor / Operations Coordinator.
Job Summary: The Crew Lead position performs a variety of general labor and maintenance duties as assigned. The lead performs leadership functions by setting an example of work ethic and quality of work to general laborers. Some work functions may include raking, trash clean up, shrub and plant care, weeding, trenching, plant and tree installation, irrigation, trimming and pruning, supervising crew members and other duties. Will act as a leader and is an example for others while working on client properties.
The ideal candidate has two years of landscape experience and holds a valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
