  General Purpose:

  The purpose of the Landscape Laborer is to follow the foreman’s instructions regarding the installation of a job according to the designer/estimator’s specifications and the customer’s satisfaction. This requires most of the physical work.

  FLSA Status: Non-exempt

  Job Description:

  • Ability to communicate with foreman
  • Follow foreman’s instructions
  • Communicate with the customer in a friendly, helpful and professional manner
  • Unload and load tools, plants and construction materials
  • Plant, dig, excavate and install most of the job’s materials
  • Keep tools and work site clean, safe and organized
  • Take pride in work
  • Assist in other areas of the department as needed

  Physical Requirements:

  • Dig, haul, shovel and plant
  • Must be able to consistently lift 80 lbs.
  • Operate power tools
  • Bend, squat, stretch, climb and lift
  • Can see and hear
  • Ability to move material in wheelbarrows
  • Work outdoors in all seasons in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work overtime during the busy season
