      The Language Services Scheduler is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of Language Bank, a non-profit which helps people with limited English proficiencies access services such as health care, the courts, public education, and social services through interpreters. Employee would be responsible for clerical duties, scheduling interpreters, responding to e-mails and telephone calls, and providing excellent communication in a team-based, customer service-focused environment. This position is in office Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00pm

      Essential Responsibilities:

      • Provide exemplary customer service and contribute to a customer service oriented business.
      • Add, cancel or make changes to appointments as needed in a fast-paced environment with clients and interpreters.
      • Resolve appointment conflicts for staff and customers and clients
      • Learn Interpreter availability, languages spoken, and geographic coverage.
      • Answer telephones and client communications via telephone, e-mail, and fax in a professional and timely manner.
      • Clerical duties including but not limited to filing, data entry, scanning, and photocopying.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's preferred or equivalent professional experience in a call center or fast paced office environment
      • Minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience required.
      • Administrative writing skills and data entry experience preferred
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
      • Proficiency with multi-line phone systems preferred.
      • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
      • Ability to perform more than one task at a time and solve problems quickly
      • Detail orientated and able to prioritize tasks
      • Enjoy working in a multicultural, multilingual environment.
      • Able to work as part of a team
      • Bilingual preferred but not required
