The Paediatric Department at Morriston Hospital, Swansea, are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join their team to undertake a 4-month Fixed term LAS ST1/ 2 post. Post will commence 15th April 2024 until 3rd September 2024. Post is not able to be extended beyond this date currently.
Main duties of the job
We wish to appoint a LAS ST1 to our general paediatric service. The successful applicants will join a team of 12 ST1/2 level (Tier 1) paediatricians to work together to deliver and develop general paediatric services in SBU Health Board. They are expected to participate on the tier 1 full shift rota (1:12 rota with prospective cover). In addition to this, there will be specific responsibilities in relation to the Paediatric Assessment Unit, the Out-Patient Department, liaison with the Accident & Emergency Department and other specialties.

We are a University Health Board working in partnership with Swansea University, Swansea School of Medicine, the School of Health Science and the Institute of Life Science. Swansea also has excellent sporting facilities including the Wales National pool and liberty stadium home to the Ospreys and Swansea City football club.
