- Increase Velocity: Perform automated testing and API testing for complex applications and scenarios; locate and document edge cases by understanding the depth and intricacies of a project; assess possible risks and propose modifications to the acceptance criteria.
- Expand Frameworks: Demonstrate proficiency at automation, API testing, or accessibility testing principles and solutions.
- Increase Velocity: Enhance the team's capacity by documenting plans to anticipated risks/blockers, advancing best practices, and mentoring peers and more junior team members.
- Guide Development: Serve as a technical SME in the sprint, ensuring successful delivery of the sprint commitment by prioritizing testing efforts, enhancing acceptance criteria, etc.
- Evaluate Skills: Conduct recruiting interviews and analyze candidates to ensure successful hiring/contracting.
- Demonstrate Expertise: Present robust testing plans, metrics, and other valuable insight and direction during sprint review meetings; propose solutions and improvements to clients that improve our ability to deliver value.
- Key Activities: Ensuring the team understands acceptance criteria, tracking daily progress, limit team’s QA kickback, deliver stories as assigned, find opportunities to increase capacity and velocity.
- How a Current Praxenter Describes The Role: “I spend a lot of the sprint planning and delegating technical work for other devs, anticipating how to deliver as much value for the client via efficiency and tech debt prevention. This has the added benefit of allow assigned devs to grow technically while also reducing as many unknowns as possible in the cone of uncertainty. It’s my job to keep in sync with delivery leads on priorities, team allocation, risks, etc, as well as act as the technical interface for the client to help guide them without overloading them with technical jargon.”
- Technical Proficiency: demonstrable proficiency with desired technologies and tools
- 4-5 years of hands-on QA Automation experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
- At least 2 years of experience designing and executing performance tests with JMeter.
- Experience with Postman, SQL/DB performance testing, and writing/maintaining test plans and strategies.
- Practical Experience: 5-8 years professional experience in relevant technology and projects, including ongoing adherence of best practices, leading and executing automated testing for web and mobile applications, and leveraging industry-standard tools to ensure optimal product quality across all stages of the software testing lifecycle.
- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive performance test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
- Analyze and translate user stories and business requirements into detailed test scenarios and scripts.
- Client Leadership: Experience presenting to client stakeholders and communicating technical and business value
- Outcome Orientation: Experience understanding and articulating the business outcomes that your development projects impact
- Mentorship Experience: Experience with coaching and mentoring, demonstrated through ad-hoc collaboration and structured code reviews.
- Relevant Education: may include intensive programs, Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a equivalent experience

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Team members may live in the following locations: Mexico or El Salvador.

The salary range for this full-time position is $2,767 - $3,438 USD per month. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all LATAM locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
