      Do you have passion for Laundry and working independently? We are currently seeking a Laundry Advanced Assistant (Shipping) Cast Member to work at Walt Disney World.

      Cast in the Laundry Advanced Assistant (Shipping) role may be assigned to work at one or more laundry facility. Work responsibilities vary and may include: Processing orders and preparing textiles for shipment to Resorts, counting, conducting inventory, stacking, answering telephone calls for service, preparing billing and using the computer to retrieve order and/or communicate with customers. Cast Members may work indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions. This role requires 8 hours of standing, walking, climbing stairs, pushing, pulling, pinching, bending, twisting, stooping and lifting from the floor to above the head.

      The pay rate for this role in Florida is $17.00 per hour.

      Responsibilities

      • Work in a Factory/Production environment
      • Distinguish between colors, patterns and sizes of products
      • Accurately prepare orders to be shipped and record billing information
      • Perform basic math skills
      • Perform basic verbal and written communications
      • Answer telephones, address customers, resolve issues
      • Use a computer or handheld device to retrieve orders, send reports, and communicate to others
      • Use good judgment to prioritize and sequence tasks to meet demand
      • Perform quality control audits
      • Handle pending shipments and excess textiles in an organized manner

      Basic Qualifications

      • Be at least 18 years of age
      • English Required (written and verbal)
      • Shown computer related experience within a Microsoft environment
      • Desire to meet/exceed performance goals in a high production environment
      • Willingness to work multiple locations

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Bilingual preferred
      • Previous Houseperson, Housekeeping, and/or Laundry experience

      SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY: Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
