      The Legal Services Department has an opportunity available for a Lawyer to represent the WCB at all court levels with a concentration in plaintiff’s personal injury litigation and workers' compensation law. This position may also include providing legal support services for: FOIPP issues; human rights law; health law; employment law; administrative law; corporate commercial contracts; and general litigation.

      Your experience and skills:

      • Active member of the Law Society of Alberta with one to three years post-articling experience.
      • Solid knowledge and interest in personal injury law.
      • Demonstrated research, writing and advocacy skills.
      • Superior decision making, interpersonal skills and communication skills (both verbal and written).
      • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
      • Original and innovative thinking to achieve desired results in legal cases is required.
      • Travel to judicial centres throughout Alberta may occasionally be required.

      Salary: $92,678 to $115,813 per annum

      Final candidates for this position will be required to undergo a security clearance.
