      We are looking for : LCA & SUSTAINABILITY SPECIALIST

      located at VENETTE


      The job

      Together with our great CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) team, you will contribute to reaching our highly ambitious sustainability goals, as this is one of Oleon’s top values. As our LCA (Life Cycle Analysis) and sustainability specialist you are an expert regarding a specific product range. Your role is to improve our footprint and develop sustainable products & processes (eco-design).


      You analyze and assess the full life cycle of our existing products & processes and for new development projects. This includes:

      • gathering all necessary information to comprehensively map the environmental footprint of our products, involving data on production, raw materials, and the utilization of energy and resources.
      • calculating the carbon footprint using SimaPro software.
      • understanding and following ISO standards 14040, 14044 & 14067.
      • maintaining and updating Oleon’s portfolio of LCAs (650 products).
      • refining our existing LCA methodology withing SimaPro software to enhance the reliability of our LCA studies.
      • working closely with colleagues from various departments and across international borders.

      You advise and support R&D and industrial decisions (choice of products, energy, technologies, investments) based on your LCA results.

      Additionally, you communicate the environmental performance of our products to internal and external stakeholders, translating complex and scientific information to our clients and business.

      In parallel to your LCA missions, you undertake activities concerning climate, natural resources, and biodiversity, such as supplier monitoring, sustainability reporting, or environmental impact reduction, either in a support role or as a leader.

      In this role, you will report directly to the CSR team leader.



      Whom are we looking for?

      • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry or a related field.
      • Having experience in LCA is considered advantageous, although it is not mandatory for this role.
      • Your analytical mind enables you to gather, analyze and organize big amounts of data.
      • You are a social enthusiast and enjoy collaborating with colleagues across various departments and geographical locations.
      • You are passionate about climate topics, sustainability & ecodesign.
      • Your strong interpersonal skills enable effective collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders.
      • You are fluent in English and French; Dutch is an additional asset.
      • You are willing to occasionally travel to various Oleon sites (approximately 10%), and if you desire to explore more travel opportunities, it’s feasible.
