      Program Summary

      As part of the LOGCAP NORTHCOM scope, KBR provides rapid response support to scheduled and unscheduled US Army training exercises. KBR’s LOGCAP team successfully completed another year of support to Warfighter operations by providing typical LOGCAP services at two locations.

      Job Summary

      As a Cook you’ll independently performs moderately difficult tasks in preparing small quantities of quickly prepared food such as steaks, chops, cutlets, hamburgers, eggs, salads and other similar items.

      Roles and Responsibilities

      • Adhere to KBR Policies and Procedures and comply with the Dining Facility Statement of Work (SOW).
      • Adhere to KBR Standard Work Instructions as per the Quality Program (QCP) and the Twenty-One (21) Day Continuity of Operations (CONOPS) Menu.
      • Immediately correct all food related deficiencies.
      • Conduct taste tests of menu items before meal service and ensure food production aligns with TM 10-412 and prescribed recipes.
      • Prepare food with appropriate decoration/garnish for scheduled meals and special events within the facility.
      • Maintain constant attention to safe work practices, promptly addressing any unsafe acts witnessed.
      • Check all food production equipment for safe and proper operation, reporting and following up on equipment requiring maintenance or replacement.
      • Ensure proper operation of kitchen equipment and verify that all personnel have been trained before operating such equipment.

      Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

      • Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a NACI. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Green Card holder who has lived within the United States for at least the last 3 years to be eligible for this position.
      • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of directly related food services experience.
      • Requires the ability to read, write, understand, and speak clearly in English.
      • Must be able to comprehend verbal and written instructions and effectively communicate instructions to others.
      • Must have a ServSafe Certification.

      Preferred Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

      Culinary certification or degree.

      • Previous experience in a military dining facility or similar setting.

      • Familiarity with KBR Policies and Procedures.
