      Department Overview:

      Interdisciplinary Professional Programs (InterPro)is an office within the College of Engineering. The office seeks to fulfill the university's commitment to the "Wisconsin Idea" by providing online graduate degree programs, non-credit professional development courses, customized training, and technical assistance to practicing professionals and organizations in a wide range of technical disciplines. The office also offers outreach programs to engineers, technical professionals, managers, and other specialists related to technology management, implementation, and career development in a variety of industry and government organizations.       Flexible hours between Monday and Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pmCT (Minimum 2-3 hour work shifts)

      Qualifications:

      University of Wisconsin–Madison undergraduate students only. All majors and fields of study are encouraged to apply.

      Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

      Demonstrate the following qualities:
      • Self-driven, efficient, and positive work ethic
      • Strong problem-solving skills
      • Detail-oriented
      • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
      • Work successfully both in a team and independently
      • Willingness to learn new technologies and adopt new processes on-the-job

      The following experience is preferred, but not required:
      • Video editing software (for example Camtasia, Adobe Premiere or After Effects)
      • Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
      • Adobe design software such as Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
      • Comfort using Macintosh
      • Cloud-based content management tools (i.e., Box)

      Position Summary/Job Duties:

      Provide support on the final production of instructional materials for Interdisciplinary Professional Programs (InterPro). Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Support course setup, material and resource preparation, and quality review
      • Test new tools and technologies and provide user experience data
      • Create, edit, and organize procedural documentation
      • Review and edit instructional videos and captions
      • Complete special projects or other related tasks as assigned
