      Job Title: Leach Tank Operator


      Job Description

      As a Leach Tank Operator, you will be responsible for preparing patterns for the removal of soluble wax through the leaching process. Your role is crucial in ensuring the quality and safety of the operations.

      Responsibilities

      • Inspect patterns and seal all open chills using hot pencils.
      • Load and unload leaching fixtures as needed.
      • Operate the pumping system to mix chemicals in the leach tank.
      • Place patterns in the leach tank for appropriate time periods and remove them following the cycle.
      • Inspect removed patterns for residue, defects, and breakage using lights, mirrors, and other hand-held tools.
      • Maintain fluid levels in tanks and record pH levels of acids for disposal.
      • Store chemicals using established techniques and handle hazardous waste when required.
      • Clean work areas and equipment and assist in other areas of the wax department as needed.
      • Complete logs and records of parts and tank activities.
      • Adhere to plant and department safety rules, safely operate all equipment and tools, and handle, store, and dispose of chemicals properly.
      • Identify and report safety problems and meet all production and quality standards.
      • Perform other tasks as assigned.

      Essential Skills

      • Proficiency in assembly, soldering, molding, casting, and production.
      • Experience with hand tools and inspection.
      • Ability to operate production machines.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • High School Graduation or GED is necessary for NDT certification.
      • Ability to write and read specifications on Tech Cards.
      • Capacity to lift and maneuver objects weighing twenty to forty pounds and occasionally up to eighty pounds.

      This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
