What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee all commissioning and performance testing activities for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- Ensure contractors adhere to project schedules and sequences
- Support clients by gathering and submitting documentation and test results to ERCOT
- Drive troubleshooting efforts to resolve complex issues during the commissioning phase
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute electrical commissioning activities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in installations, operations, maintenance, and commissioning within the power generation industry
- ERCOT commissioning experience and familiarity with ERCOT BESS testing processes
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of power plant electrical systems and equipment
- Proficiency in advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques for electrical systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and collaborate with teams
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with ERCOT Nodal Protocols and Nodal Operating Guides
- Background in performance testing and commissioning activities specific to BESS
- Proven track record of leadership and management in a technical environment
- Willingness to travel for assignments across various locations in the U.S.
