What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee all commissioning and performance testing activities for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- Review and manage Plans of the Day (PODs) to ensure contractors adhere to schedules
- Support clients in gathering and submitting documentation and test results to ERCOT
- Drive troubleshooting and diagnostics to resolve complex issues during commissioning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- ERCOT commissioning experience is required
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in installations, operations, maintenance, and commissioning within the power generation industry
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of power plant electrical systems and equipment
- Familiarity with ERCOT Nodal Protocols and industry regulations related to electrical operations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to lead and collaborate
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with ERCOT BESS testing, energization, and grid synchronization processes
- Proficiency in advanced troubleshooting techniques for electrical systems
- Familiarity with Nodal Operating Guides and ICCP Communication Handbook
