      Caterpillar Indonesia Batam is looking for a passionate and driven Lean Engineer to join our team and help us build a better, more efficient world. In this role, you will support, teach, and lead improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and project management methodologies to drive measurable business outcomes. You’ll be at the heart of our continuous improvement culture—analyzing processes, identifying opportunities, and collaborating across functions to implement solutions that enhance quality, reduce waste, and improve operational performance. This is a hands-on role where your ideas and actions will directly impact how we work and deliver value. You’ll also contribute to the development of Lean strategies and tools, support Six Sigma program implementation, and help embed a mindset of excellence throughout the organization.

      This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.

      What You Will Do :

      • Assisting in employing Six Sigma methodology and analytics into organizational operations to meet business goals and objectives .

      • Supporting the design and development of Six Sigma program strategies and goals, including supporting systems and tools, for quality and business process improvements.

      • Providing assistance in the implementation of Sigma project portfolios to achieve measurable business process improvements.

      • Participating in planning, developing and implementing Six Sigma projects to meet specific quality and performance standards.

      What Skills You Have:

      • Interpersonal Relationships : Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.

      • Project Administration : Knowledge of project administration best practices and ability to use organizational strategies, practices and tools for administering projects.

      • Problem Solving : Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating , and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

      • Analytical Thinking : Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

      • Influencing : Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.

      • Six Sigma Methodology : Knowledge of the concepts of six sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) methodology ; ability to use the methodology to improve the manufacturing processes and control the improvements by eliminating root causes.

      What Will Set You Apart:

      • Educational Background : A b achelor's degree is required , with a preference for candidates from an Engineering background.

      • Experience : A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in lean manufacturing or project management .

      • Language Proficiency : Proficiency in English is mandatory.

      • Ability to lead or participate in cross-functional process improvement initiatives.

      Physical Requirements (With or Without Reasonable Accommodation):

      • This job requires extensive active movement throughout the plant including climbing stairs and steps, lifting devices, and pushing and pulling equipment.
