      FAQs

      1. Who is eligible to apply? Applicants must have graduated from a LEARN campus and should be a Rising High School Freshman up to College Graduates in Spring 2024.

      2. How often can an alumni apply? An alumni can continue to apply for the summer internship as long as they are actively enrolled in high school or college. Alumni can be selected as an Intern two times while in high school and two times while in college. LEARN will give priority to alumni who are in college.

      3. How can an alumni get an application? Alumni must have active contact information on file within our alumni database to receive the application announcement. The application can also be found on the LEARN website on the Alumni page.

      4. How are interns selected? Alumni who complete the application during the application window are selected based on personal interviews, character references, current academic standing, background check and drug screening results. Work history is considered where applicable.

      5. What do I need to bring to my interview? Applicants who are in high school must bring a recent report card and a letter of recommendation. Applicants who are in college must bring a recent transcript and a resume.

      6. Once selected, who do the interns report to? Interns are taken through an intense orientation prior to being placed at a campus or within a Department. At the campus level, interns report to the Office Managers for day to day assignments. Office managers may assign interns to different campus staff upon request. At the CMO level, interns report to their assigned Department, where the Director informs them of who they need to report to on a day to day basis. Interns who are interning with an outside agency will report to a staff member at the partner agency.
