What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead collaborative course design with faculty and subject matter experts to develop high-quality online and traditional courses
- Design and integrate engaging instructional materials and assessments that support effective teaching and learning
- Ensure content quality, accessibility, and compliance with accreditation and credit hour standards
- Provide consultation and training to faculty on course design strategies and instructional best practices
- Manage course development projects, aligning with university policies and utilizing data for continuous improvement
What is Required (Qualifications):
- A master’s degree in Instructional Design or a related field, or a master’s degree with a post-master’s degree certification in Instructional Design
- Minimum of three years of relevant course design experience in higher education within an LMS-based system
- Exceptional writing and editing skills
- Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and best practices
- Ability to work on a flexible schedule to meet project deadlines and collaborate with faculty and stakeholders
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- A master’s degree or terminal degree in Instructional Design or Technology and Design
- Five years of relevant experience in higher education course design
- Experience with AI tools in instructional design
- Familiarity with accreditation and compliance standards in higher education
- Proven ability to lead workshops and training sessions for faculty
