      The Supreme Court of Ohio is seeking to fill the position of Learning Management Systems Administrator in the Judicial College. The Learning Management Systems Administrator Manages, administers, implements, maintains, and supports all aspects of the Learning Management System (LMS), related electronic databases, and provides support for distance learning education for the Supreme Court of Ohio Judicial College.

      What You'll Do:

      • Manage all aspects of the learning management system (LMS) to ensure efficient and effective registration, delivery of online education, user experience, and full utilization of LMS vendor tool.
      • Lead strategic planning for future improvements and enhancements of the LMS.
      • Track, evaluate, and implement LMS system upgrades, product enhancements and releases to determine the impacts on both internal and external end-users.
      • Develop, facilitate, and evaluate court-wide training related to the LMS and select electronic databases; assign and maintain system access and security roles.
      • Provide expert-level technical support and troubleshooting to end users and other staff with LMS administrative responsibilities. Deliver on-going training to staff to support the LMS administration.
      • Support the creation, development, delivery and evaluation of online courses and modules created and deployed into the LMS. Responsibilities include testing and loading SCORM-based content, establishing and setting up course descriptions/permissions, and troubleshooting functionality issues.
      • Serve as primary contact for enrollment questions related to education programs, the LMS, and various databases while maintaining a high level of service and prompt response to inquiries.
      • Create ad hoc and scheduled reports from the LMS including enrollment, compliance, and course evaluation analysis. Analyze and report LMS usage and provides monthly, quarterly, and end of the year reports of education.
      • Ensure education programs are created and open for registration to the target audience by uploading program materials into the LMS as appropriate. Upload and disseminate course announcements in a timely manner.
      • Develop and document all relevant documentation that supports LMS functionality and capabilities and keep all documentation up-to-date.
      • Serve as the primary contact between the LMS vendor technical support team and the Supreme Court of Ohio. Participate in regional and national associations that relate to the LMS.

      What we’re looking for:

      • Requires a bachelor’s degree in related field. Experience or education in instructional design, adult learning, education, instructional technology, business or public administration or related field desirable. An advanced degree in a related field preferred.
      • Requires a high level of competency using Learning Management Systems, other technological tools, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. HTML webpage experience preferred.
      • Demonstrated experience with system administration, strong project management and troubleshooting skills are needed.
      • Requires an understanding of preparing and delivering instructional programs for adults and instructional design methods to develop face-to-face and electronic education.
      • Requires proficiency with delivering education via web conference facilitator tools. Familiarity with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline), design and storyboarding steps and techniques needed to develop online courses preferred.
      • Requires the ability to organize workflow to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and accomplish tasks with follow-through to completion.
      • Requires excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Strong writing skills include the ability to write complete and concise correspondence using proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
      • Requires the ability to communicate professionally, effectively, and collaboratively -both verbally and in writing- to interact productively and establish positive rapport and relations with supervisor, co-workers, judges, justices, attorneys, other court personnel and/or the public.
      • Requires the ability to problem solve and/or troubleshoot, think analytically, multitask effectively, and work independently. Requires judgment, decisiveness, and creativity in evaluating information.
      • Requires the ability to produce a high volume of work within a deadline.
      • Requires proven ability to take initiative, distinguish higher from lower priorities, and independently plan and implement new procedures when appropriate.
      • Requires advanced customer service skills, including the ability to deal with irate customers.
      • Requires the ability to interact with supervisor, co-workers, judges, justices, attorneys, other court personnel and/or the public with a professional attitude and demeanor.
      • Requires the ability to exercise sound judgment, decisiveness, and the ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.

      This is an exempt unclassified position that reports to the Manager, Curriculum & Educational Services. The starting salary for this position, which is commensurate with experience, is $90,000.
