Why join us
As our Learning Operations Manager you have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the business, by being accountable for the operational management of the People Development team. You will oversee efficient and effective delivery of programmes support, content management, regulatory governance whilst maintaining the departmental programme of work and budgetary co-ordination. This is a role where you can make a tangible difference to our learning programme delivery within the business.
What you'll do
Overseeing the operational management of the team, you will provide a comprehensive view of project and programme delivery against plan and capacity. You will implement the learning programme delivery across the team, with oversight of everything from logistics and communication, to managing the team. With an eye for detail, you are responsible for budgetary reporting and balancing of budgets against periodic financial reports, whilst also making sure we adhere to regulatory reporting requirements for mandatory learning objects.
Quality assurance and content management also falls under your remit, including the development of learning products against robust standards, technical administration, content assignment and updates. As a natural relationship builder, you will build strong connections with key stakeholders in the business as well as developing long-term relationships with third-party content suppliers.
Who you are
To excel in this role, you will have excellent project management, planning, and prioritisation skills, as well as the ability to analyse and assimilate data effectively. Strong relationship and stakeholder management abilities are essential to collaborate with teams at all levels in the organisation, while your leadership and motivational skills are necessary for managing and inspiring your direct reports. Your meticulous attention to detail and thorough knowledge of learning management systems enables you to maintain the quality assurance and content management required, whilst also ensuring robust standards and regulatory compliance. As a natural coach, you know how to get the best out of those around you as you manage and motivate your own team. With your dedication to promoting a culture of continuous learning and development, you will play a vital role in shaping the growth and success of learning at Sainsbury’s.
