      We are currently hiring a Learning Specialist in Cincinnati, OH.

      *A Hybrid position at Boston Beer requires that our coworkers reside within commuting distance to be onsite according to their teams’ weekly schedule.

      The Learning Specialist focuses on learning delivery and implementation by partnering closely within the brewery operation's departments to deliver new hire orientation, onboarding and technical role-based curriculum. This role works with operational leaders to ensure new hire and cross-training programs and curricula are delivered to the high-quality standard as designed. Given a passion for continuous improvement, this role ensures that training schedules are kept simple to optimize a coworker's experience and that program materials are maintained and updated by the proper business contacts.

      What You'll Brew:

      New Hire Orientation & Onboarding

      • Coordinate and host new hire orientation and facilitate segments that require a Learning & Development professional
      • Team up with People & Culture to build an onboarding agenda and process that elevates the company's cultural foundation and secret sauce
      • On-the-Job Skills Training & Coordination
      • Enter and maintain coworkers' training records in the LMMS
      • Monitor the functional training schedules for newly hired or cross-training coworkers
      • Pair these coworkers with a Qualified On-the-Job (OJT) Trainer
      • Enroll coworkers in applicable training programs in the Learning Management System (LMS) based on designed role-based curriculum
      • Recruit and train new OJT Trainers, assign new coworkers to the OJT Trainers and evaluate performance of the OJT Trainers
      • Collaborate with Learning & Development team to align to and maintain standards that drive scale or represent a local brewery's nuances where customization is needed
      • Source and coordinate local subject matter experts for new program development or enhancements to existing programs
      • Order and maintain in-house training materials, equipment and facilities

      Skill Verification & Bench

      • Use a consultative approach and coaching mindset to help people leaders build development plans for their coworkers
      • Ensure skills are verified and recorded at the appropriate time through certified experts
      • Use of performance management tools & tactics (i.e., development checklists, training plans, skills matrix, progress reports)
      • Host bench strength discussions and planning sessions with department management teams
      • Summarize bench strength reports into an executive summary for brewery operations management and L&D

      Training Program Health & Reporting

      • Administer tracking and report on skill development KPI’s
      • Coordinate and conduct progress report check-ins with new hires
      • Gather and evaluate information from coworkers and management on previous training to identify strengths, opportunities and areas that need additional training
      • Execute the evaluation strategy by program as designed
      • Provide input into and participate in program evaluation discussions and planning with L&D Team
      • Continuous Improvement & Change Management
      • Supports the training implementation and delivery for key brewery initiatives and change management in partnership with the project team (I.e. UP, cost savings initiatives, nextgen equipment installs, new software launches, etc.)
      • Updates SOPs, OPLs and other operational standards to maintain operational excellence Ability to work evening and weekend hours, as needed
      • Office and classroom settings; sitting and standing for long periods of time
      • 10-20% travel required

      What Ingredients You'll Bring:

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Experience
        • 2+ years of progressive learning and development experience, preferred in the food and
        beverage industry
        • 3+ years of experience working in a production/manufacturing environment with previous
        training delivery and/or facilitation skills, preferably in a supply chain context
        • Skills
        • A collaborative and flexible style, with a passion for change and continuous improvement,
        and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
        • Possess a strong customer orientation with an ability to interact and communicate well
        with others at all levels of the organization
        • Proven experience working collaboratively with business leaders, coworkers, key
        stakeholders, team members, and vendors to design and develop effective, modern, and
        engaging learning solutions
        • Proficient in delivering/executing, measuring, auditing, and documenting training for hourly
        production and salaried coworkers
        • Proficient with Microsoft O365 Suite, namely Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and
        SharePoint
        • Strong organizational and planning abilities

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or similar field
      • Experience in the Learning & Development space with a focus on training

      Level: 6

      Salaried Roles: In accordance with pay transparency laws the salary range for this role if hired is $75,000– $111,000 annually based on location and the experience level of the candidate. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance
