Job Description

- Support the month end closing cycle by preparing complex processes for preparation of journal entries and to assist Senior Management in making critical and time sensitive decisions.
- Supervise, train, and manage workflow of department staff to ensure the team is effective at providing accurate and compliant information.
- Identify risks and opportunities in a timely manner to prevent out of period adjustments.
- Identify and manage any issues affecting SOX compliance.
- Review and approve journal entries prepared by supporting staff.
- Support the submission of our quarterly reporting package to Corporate Accounting which includes entering critical data into HFM & PMR forms, reviewing roll forwards, P&L and Balance sheet Flux analysis, documentation of significant journal entries and unusual activity.
- Maintain a strong and proactive partnership with our Decision Support / FP&A counterparts.
- Actively participate in discussions with other areas of the business, both above and below your position.
- Maintain a strong and supporting relationship with our outsourced finance business partner.
- Ensure all DTP’s are maintained and current with outsource finance business partner; and all processes are fully documented.
- Liaison with independent and internal auditors regarding audit items in all aspects of accounting, controls and audit points.
- Ownership, review, approval, and enhancement of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prioritize and support various projects, internal and external audits, change request accounting tests, and accounting related report development.
- Drive a continual process improvement culture.
- A bachelor’s degree in business w/ a concentration in Accounting / Finance.
- 8+ years of accounting experience including prior management experience.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills; attention to detail and understanding the end-to-end process flows.
- Flexibility and resilience within an environment of continuous improvement and change.
- Ability and willingness to learn new systems and software that is used to capture data necessary to perform the various analysis required.
- Experience using advanced Microsoft products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Lessor Lease Accounting experience
- SAP, HFM/PMR, Oracle Lease and Finance Management (OLFM), MS Access, and/or SQL capabilities

You are:
A team player who provides leadership, management, and technical expertise over the Lease Accounting area, adhering to the correct application of financial and accounting controls and procedures, safeguarding company assets, and ensuring compliance with corporate polices, legal regulations, and in accordance with US GAAP. You have the capacity to manage multiple projects at the same time, think critically, and meet critical deadlines. You support the month end closing and reconciliation cycles. You are responsible for identification and resolution of potential accounting issues or areas of risk, supporting a ‘no surprises’ culture. This position will report to the Assistant Controller for Pitney Bowes Global Financial Services (GFS).
This is a Hybrid role, with 3 days in the Tampa office required. (No relocation assistance offered.)

The wage range for this position is $105,000 to $115,000 , with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements and the location where you will be performing the job.
