Job Description

- Monitor and optimize all production and injection wells.
- Perform duties associated with oil and gas producing operations, including but not limited to:
- Plunger lift wells
- Process equipment
- Compression
- Dehydration
- Optimizing artificial lift systems
- Testing wells
- Acquiring fluid level information
- Record keeping and data input
- Monitoring computer control systems
- Testing safety devices
- Operating and monitoring SCADA
- Partnering with other employees and contractors to ensure that all equipment is operating at peak efficiency
- Utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management System to create work orders for inventory and work planning/prioritization
- Ensuring all work performed adheres to Chevron's Operational Excellence standards and regulatory requirements
- Driving on a routine basis
- Other duties as assigned
- Safety Awareness: Actively supports Health, Environment, and Safety processes by accomplishing daily activities within applicable regulations and policies, carrying out duties in an environmentally conscious manner, following safe operating practices.
- Work Ethic: Demonstrates a strong work ethic and commitment to achieving objectives.
- Technical Skill: Operates, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains oil and gas production equipment.
- Customer Focus: Partners with other employees and contractors to ensure that all equipment is operating at peak efficiency.
- Open Communication: Maintains open communication within the team and across departments.
- Implementing Vision and Values: Adheres to the company’s vision and values in all aspects of the role.
- At least three years of operations experience in oil and gas or related petrochemical industries.
- Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime based on work activity.
- The position will require a pick-up truck to perform duties. The provider will need to provide a truck for the individual.
- Position will be required to take callouts on a rotating schedule.
- 5+ years of operations experience in oil and gas or related petrochemical industries, including experience with regulations and the maintenance and testing requirements associated with related safety devices.
- In-depth understanding of upstream facilities including but not limited to: separation, pumping, gathering, tankage, lact sales, metering, and compression.
- Broad knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot and maintain major oil and gas production facility process systems including: mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and production equipment.
- Capable of simultaneously performing multiple tasks with limited supervision.
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse team of coworkers, contractors, and internal and external customers.

As a Lease Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing all production and injection wells. This includes managing all process variables, ensuring that all production equipment operates at peak reliability and efficiency, and acquiring and storing data. The role requires technical skills and knowledge to ensure the smooth operation of equipment in the oil and gas industry.
