- Perform legal entity accounting and control on a monthly basis, including the month-end close process, parent/child accounting, equity pick-up, review of inter-entity breaks, and monitoring of unnatural general ledger balances.
- Conduct month-end analytical reviews of the legal entity to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements, and prepare various reports, including contributions to the Monthly Controller’s Book, as well as legal entity and line of business financial commentary and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve issues, and respond to ad-hoc queries.
- Assist in the Booking Model review and ongoing compliance monitoring of Legal Entity Control Standards.
- Control intercompany activity, including variance commentary.
- Monitor the general ledger, including consolidation and netting.
- Participate in firm-wide legal entity reporting projects, including infrastructure and process improvement efforts and other Controller initiatives as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field
- Minimum 3 years finance/accounting – related experience
- Strong accounting and analytical acumen, with ability to understand, produce and explain income statement and balance sheet content and variances
- Superior attention to detail
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to prepare executive level presentations
- Ability to work effectively with others, as well as act as an effective liaison with all business partners within the lines of business or legal entity chains
- Strong initiative and work ethic
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure, with an ability to be flexible in a dynamic and challenging environment
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
- CPA a plus, but not required

As a Legal Entity Control Associate in our Finance team, you will define, refine and deliver set goals for our firm daily. You will be responsible for the financial oversight of our legal entity, ensuring a strong control environment across all businesses, products, and operational areas. This role provides an opportunity to interact with multiple lines of business and internal stakeholders, gaining end-to-end knowledge of legal entity controllership. You will collaborate with our finance teams, operations, and the Legal Entity Controller community to promote our Legal Entity agenda.
