The African Studies Program in the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies at Indiana University-Bloomington invites applications for a Lecturer position in the Swahili language, beginning August 1, 2024. The initial appointment will be for three years and may be renewable contingent on satisfactory performance reviews. We seek an innovative and experienced Swahili language pedagogue able to teach Swahili language courses at all levels. Candidates for the position should be willing to participate in a full range of African languages programming activities, including outreach, as we are a Title VI National Resource Center. Teaching load is three courses per semester. There is a possible opportunity for co-leading a study abroad to Tanzania or Rwanda during summers.About the company
