      Legal Analyst (Litigation)

      Job Description Summary

      The successful candidate for this position will have a paralegal background in claims management and contracts and join a lean, dynamic, and diverse legal team with direct responsibility for providing support to C&W’s Owner & Occupier Services, Brokerage and Capital Markets, and Global Occupier Services businesses in North America. The candidate will be responsible for proactively supporting each of these businesses, with a varied client base, and fostering C&W's dynamic, collaborative and practical culture. This position may also include providing ad hoc assistance on special projects as they arise and this position reports to the Senior Legal Analyst - Owner & Occupier Services.

      Job Description

      Essential Job Duties

      • Assist the Senior Legal Analyst in managing litigated and non-litigated disputes for the C&W’s Owner & Occupier Services, Brokerage and Capital Markets, and Global Occupier Services businesses, in coordination with outside counsel and attorneys across all businesses.
      • Assist the business and legal team in drafting and responding to attorney demand letters, collection matters, gathering supporting documents and conducting legal research.
      • Assist the business and legal team in reviewing vendor and supplier agreements, renewals and extensions of template agreements, and coordinating updates to template contracts.
      • Act as a liaison for the business team to answer contract questions.
      • Assist the Senior Legal Analyst in managing small claims disputes and housing claim disputes to resolution.
      • Assist the Senior Legal Analyst in managing discovery requests and legal hold notices.
      • Complete monthly claims reporting to confirm all matters are up to date and accurately reported.
      • Coordinate with C&W’s risk management team to promptly report new claims and provide periodic status updates on active claims.
      • Assist Senior Legal Analyst to develop training for internal clients and the North America Legal Group.
      • Demonstrate the ability and willingness to work under time-sensitive deadlines and be productive in fast-paced environments with multiple competing priorities.
      • Review and management of legal invoices.
      • Perform all other duties as required or requested.

      Education/Experience/Training

      • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Paralegal Certification preferred; we are not seeking to hire an attorney or JD for this role
      • Requires 3 to 4 years of relevant experience

      The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


      The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


      The compensation for the position is: $70,975.00 - $83,500.00
