Job Description
- Req#: 5452
- Liaising with clients and firm team members on behalf of lawyer on a regular basis;
- Drafting, editing and proofreading routine correspondence, letters and other related documents;
- Maintaining and organizing electronic records;
- Managing calendars, itineraries and client-facing events;
- Effecting and managing process improvements for administrative tasks, including filing, time entry, billing, client lists; and
- Assisting in organization of Regulatory Group meetings and functions.
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills;
- Thrives on working under pressure and completing work in a timely fashion;
- Forthrightness, honesty, integrity, discretion;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) and able to manage and communicate expectations;
- Ability to set and achieve goals;
- Attention to detail;
- Post-secondary education in business or related discipline (Legal Administration and/or Law Clerk Diploma preferred);
- Excellent technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
- Knowledge of accounting/docketing systems and data management systems (preferred);
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role with working knowledge of Regulatory Law (preferred); and
- Bilingualism (French and English) (an asset).
