      One of the largest eCommerce/tech company headquartered in Seattle, WA is hiring a Legal Counsel to support the Music Studios Team. Role will be hybrid in Culver City, CA. Must be willing to go onsite on a hybrid schedule to be considered. Pay $140-150/hr.

      Description:

      • Provide deal making services for music in Studios content.
      • Negotiate and oversee deals for the creation of original music for film and television, including deals with composers, songwriters, music supervisors, recording artists, publishers, and record labels.
      • Work closely with Studio legal affairs and outside counsel to assist in finalizing agreements, and handle music-related issues as they arise during development, production, and marketing.
      • Leverage your negotiation abilities while interacting with agents, managers, production companies, and outside attorneys, and be able to efficiently communicate status and trade-offs with other members of the Studios team, including Creative, Production, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, and Legal, as well as executives outside of Studios.
      • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
      • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
      • Apply comprehensive working knowledge of music issues in film and television, contract law, and intellectual property rights (as applicable to the entertainment industry) to support drafting, negotiating, communicating (written and verbal) with our external partners.
      • Excellent organizational skills, collaborate with colleagues in the department and across the studio to build strong internal client relationships.
      • Advise senior-level executives under time-sensitive conditions related to our projects.
      • Work with clientele through strategic decision making and risk analysis to generate satisfaction in our deals.

      Required Skills:

      • Must be a graduate of an accredited law school
      • 5-8 years of legal experience and admitted into the state bar.
      • Must have experience within the music/entertainment industry
