What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Consult with NAP Resettlement Directors to identify clients eligible for immigration assistance
- Interview and assess client needs, advising them on available immigration relief options
- Prepare and represent clients in USCIS interviews and immigration court appearances, depending on accreditation level
- Conduct research on immigration law, statutory law, and case law
- Document and report according to contractual requirements and HIPAA guidelines
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field
- Experience working with refugees, asylees, or immigrants in a social service environment
- Current DOJ Accreditation or willingness to obtain accreditation
- Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Fluency in a second language such as Spanish, Dari, Pashto, Russian, or Ukrainian
- Experience handling general immigration cases
