- Draft and review various short-form contractual agreements for the studio, branded, and digital productions as well as events and activations (e.g., appearance releases, location agreements, vendor agreements, materials releases/license agreements, etc.)
- Review and provide feedback on creative decks and cuts of content with an eye towards legal and clearance issues (e.g., copyright, trademark, defamation, right of publicity and privacy, fair use, etc.)
- Assist in maintaining a rights management system using in-house project management software for TSHC teams to rely on as a system of record (including reviewing various agreements for rights information and inputting relevant data)
- Assist on an as-needed basis with other assignments and tasks under the supervision of in-house attorneys (including but not limited to reviewing NDAs and assisting with other corporate matters)
- Currently a 1L or 2L pursuing a Juris Doctorate at an ABA-accredited law school
- Self-starter and “doer” mentality
- Superior written and verbal communication with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
- Extremely organized and strong attention to detail
- Strong ability to multi-task and juggle projects
- Excellent time management and project management skills
- Enthusiastic, willing to roll up your sleeves, and able to troubleshoot to get the job done
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information, records, and reports
- Proficient in G-Suite and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of contract law preferred, but not required

ROLE OVERVIEW:
The SpringHill Company is seeking a highly ambitious Legal Intern to join our Business & Legal Affairs team for our 10-week internship program this summer. In this role, the successful candidate will support various TSHC departments including The Robot Company, Brand Partnerships, Studio, SpringHill Entertainment, and UNINTERRUPTED. Success in this role requires a self-motivated, inquisitive, organized, and detail-oriented individual who is looking to develop their knowledge and understanding of how a Business & Legal Affairs department operates. Candidates should have the ability to maintain a positive, high-energy demeanor, navigate highly confidential situations, and provide a supreme level of professionalism and attention to detail across all TSHC teams and projects.
