      YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

      Brenntag, the world’s largest & leading full-line chemical distributor with a market cap of EUR11 billion is seeking a highly-motivated, diligent and meticulous Regional Legal Manager – YOU will play a crucial role in implementing Brenntag’s special projects, leading & managing contract management tools, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements and to provide training on Legal Group policies and procedures.

      Duties and Responsibilities:

      To provide specific legal projects support to Regional and Global Legal Team.

      To lead and independently manage regional contract lifecycle procedure and processes, with continuous improvement and excellence in mind.

      To review, negotiate and advice assigned contracts, namely:

      Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts in local language and legal documents (both commercial and non-commercial). Candidates with experience in reviewing procurement and supply contracts and experience in dispute resolution are preferred;

      Ensuring contracts are executed in compliance with company policies on internal corporate approvals;

      Familiarity with litigation/ dispute resolution, compliance, data protection and intellectual property laws in the Asia-Pacific region.

      Providing legal advice relating to employment matters and be a trusted partner to the human resources department;

      Implementing Brenntag APAC legal and compliance policies and guidelines and conducting necessary trainings as instructed by the Brenntag APAC legal department;

      Enabling proper and coherent communication between regional legal and local commercial for alignment of goals and objectives;

      Providing support to and reporting to Brenntag APAC Head of Lega/ Legal Director.

      YOUR PROFILE

      Job Requirement/Specification:

      - Education: Bachelor of Laws Degree (minimum).

      - Language: Excellent command of the English. Ability to speak Bahasa, Chinese is a plus.

      - Experiences / Requirements:

      At least 4 years of post-qualification experience, ideally with a mix of private practice and in-house experience in an MNC.

      Experience in contract management.

      Ability to prioritize multiple projects under strict deadlines and ability to multi-task and handle highly confidential information;

      Ability to work independently without daily supervision;

      Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint);

      Demonstrated enthusiasm and willingness to learn;

      Diligent, meticulous, detail oriented, and analytical, with ability to exercise judgment to identify and escalate issues;

      Experienced in managing external corporate secretarial service providers and external counsel.

      Self-starter with strong project management, analytical and organizational skills;

      Superior communication skills required with the ability to clearly and diplomatically articulate issues, solutions and rationale; and

      Outstanding stakeholder management – diplomatic yet firm.
