Job Description
- Req#: 94405
- Current law student (or recent graduate prior to passing the bar exam) at an accredited law school who has completed, at a minimum, the first year of law school with passing grades. Preference given to second and third year law students.
- Currently eligible to sit for the Oklahoma State Bar upon completion of Law School.
- Ability to operate standard office machines, including, but not limited to, word processor, typewriter, calculator, copier, fax machine.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office.
- Ability to perform legal research, including ability to use WestLaw.
- Prior experience working in a legal setting preferred.
- This job requires the operation of a personal vehicle (non INTEGRIS-owned). Therefore, Legal Intern must have a current Oklahoma State Drivers License as well as a driving record which is acceptable to INTEGRIS and its insurance carrier.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
- Provides research assistance and drafts memoranda.
- Prepares forms and drafts documents and correspondence as directed by attorneys within the department.
- Assists with providing legal services under the direct supervision of an attorney within the department.
- Attends and observes meetings, court procedures, and other corporate functions.
- Proofreads and corrects prepared materials for correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, format, syntax, and content.
- Receives guidance, training and mentoring from attorneys within the department in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.
- Performs other job duties as requested by departmental attorney or Director of Legal Services, consistent with qualifications.
