      Grey Lynn Library is a busy little library. We have a strong community focus, offering an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone. In this role you will facilitate and grow community and partner-led activity to deliver library services including programmes and events across the Waitematā local board. This role will ensure the effective promotion and successful delivery of community-focused programmes and events designed to engage the public. You will support an amazing team in all aspects of the library, as well as lead new and strategic initiatives to add value to our community.

      The role will form part of the leadership team in the library’s day-to-day operations and support for team members in our library site. This is a part-time role working 30 hours per week across Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Saturday however flexibility around working hours, is required. You will be based primarily at Grey Lynn Library but may be required to work across other Waitematā Local Board sites.

      You are innovative, confident, and willing to learn and ‘give it a go’. You are passionate about the role of the public library and have an interest in designing new programmes to connect with our community. You demonstrate an understanding of Te Ao Māori values and principles. Previous experience with council service enquiries would be highly desirable.

      A collaborative team member, you’re confident using social media platforms to engage with the community. Excellent digital skills and strong attention to detail, with proven customer service experience, are all key skills and attributes that will set you up for success.

      Salary Band E, we would be looking to appoint the successful applicant at a salary of between $63 - 74k, depending upon experience. This would be offered on a pro-rata basis.
