      Job Summary:

      Reporting to the Library Lead, the Stacks Management Coordinator supervises a team of student assistants and is responsible for coordinating stacks management projects and daily stacks maintenance and material delivery operations for the Edmon Low Library and branch libraries. In consultation with library administration, this position oversees project management for Library stacks projects including space inventory, shifting, and stack construction and disassembly. In conjunction with these projects the Coordinator also manages the pulling and delivery of material from the Main Library and branch libraries to the high density shelving facility, the Library Auxiliary. This position also oversees daily stacks maintenance functions at the Main Library including shelf reading and the accurate and prompt re-shelving of library materials at Main. The position also manages several operations within the North Boomer Annex remote shelving facility, which include document retrieval, stacks management, and the storage of library materials, furniture, and equipment for which there is no room in the main Library building. Additional responsibilities include overseeing Library furniture and equipment moving projects, as needed. Dust and mold on books and materials.

      Position Qualifications:

      Required Qualifications:

      Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Graphic Design, or related field.

      Drivers License Required

      Customer service experience; excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under deadlines, multi-task while prioritizing daily responsibilities maintaining a professional demeanor in a fast-paced, constantly evolving workplace. Ability and willingness to certify in driving Powered Lift Vehicles.

      Ability to push heavy carts and move furniture and large objects as needed.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      Four years' experience. Two years in a library. Experience with management of part-time or student employees. Experience with project planning and implementation. Excellent management and supervisory skills. Proficient communication skills. Experience building stacks and shelving. Experience planning and moving materials.
