      JOB SUMMARY

      Ottawa Public Library (OPL) provides accessible, innovative library and information services throughout the City of Ottawa, that meet the unique needs of diverse communities, delivered through a range of vehicles and reflecting a citizen-centred approach.

      You are responsible for providing research, analytical and other support to special projects, and assisting with the development, delivery and enhancement of OPL’s service delivery strategy. You are also responsible for providing research, analytical and writing support for the unit’s various documents and communications.

      EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

      Completion of 4 year university degree in business or public administration, social sciences or related field.

      Minimum of 3 years of related experience in planning projects and/or strategic initiatives, preferably in a library or municipal setting.

      CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENCES

      Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset

      • Computer applications, including MS Office, MS Project, web/internet/digital based technologies, and database operations
      • Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers
