About the position: This position will be assigned to the Hub Zemke Library, Beale AFB, CA.
This is a Regular Part-Time position, assuring a minimum of 20 hours per week with associated benefits.
Must be able to frequently lift up to 40 pounds.Duties
Serves as the Lead Library Technician. Responsible for all circulation service operations, including monitoring library aids and customer service levels. Keeps the circulation desk properly stocked and straightened for ease of workflow and good customer service. Trains new library aides and technicians on circulation tasks. Independently performs circulation and registration duties by implementing established procedures for circulation functions and providing quality assurance checks. Maintains automated and/or manual circulation files to include all charged-out materials, user database files, registration files, lost/damaged items. Assists customers by answering questions and locating information. Contacts customers for missing library items. Assists library users with library equipment. Prepares basic flyers and social media post tools. Utilizes the Integrated Library System (ILS), online databases, and other Internet resources to prepare subject bibliographies. Performs routine clerical tasks.

Qualifying Experience:
Must possess proven skill in dealing with the public. Specialized experience in a library that provides specific knowledge of library rules, policies, and procedures for circulation and technical service is desirable. Must have experience or training that demonstrates the ability to perform standard computer skills to include typing skills. Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
