      Job Summary:

      Telluride Ski and Golf, a leading resort destination in Telluride, Colorado, is seeking an experienced and talented Licensed Architect or an Experienced Draftsperson to join our team. This position focuses on Telski development projects, with a specific emphasis on affordable housing and hotel/commercial design. As a Resort Architect or Draftsperson, you will play a key role in shaping the resort's architectural vision, ensuring exceptional design and functionality while aligning with our commitment to sustainability and guest satisfaction.

      Responsibilities:

      1. Conceptualization and Design:

      · Develop architectural concepts and designs for in-house development projects, including affordable housing, hotels, and commercial buildings, in collaboration with the resort's planning and development teams.

      · Create detailed drawings, plans, and 3D models to effectively communicate design ideas and specifications.

      · Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning regulations, and resort design standards.

      · Conduct research on emerging architectural trends, materials, and construction techniques to enhance the resort's architectural offerings.

      2. Project Management:

      · Lead architectural projects from conception to completion, overseeing all phases of design, construction, and post-construction evaluation.

      · Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including planners, engineers, contractors, interior designers, and consultants, to ensure seamless project execution.

      · Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans to meet project milestones and objectives.

      · Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, address design-related issues, and ensure adherence to design intent.

      3. Sustainable Design:

      · Integrate sustainable design principles into all architectural projects, aiming to minimize the resort's environmental footprint.

      · Incorporate renewable energy solutions, energy-efficient systems, and environmentally friendly materials into designs.

      · Research and recommend sustainable design strategies, technologies, and certifications to improve the resort's overall sustainability performance.

      4. Collaboration and Communication:

      · Collaborate closely with the resort's planning and development teams, as well as external stakeholders, to align architectural designs with project goals and objectives.

      · Present design concepts, proposals, and progress reports to key stakeholders, including resort management and executive leadership.

      · Effectively communicate architectural concepts and design rationale to non-technical stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding and support for projects.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      · Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture Drafting, or Related Field.

      · Professional license (Registered Architect) in the relevant jurisdiction (preferred but not required).

      · Minimum of 3 years of experience in architectural design, preferably in resort/hospitality or mixed-use projects.

      · Proven track record in designing and managing projects related to affordable housing, hotels, and commercial buildings.

      · Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant architectural software.

      · Familiarity with sustainable design practices and LEED certification is highly desirable.

      · Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex architectural concepts to diverse stakeholders.

      · Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
