- Provide direct general nursing care to PTHA Medical Clinic patients of all ages.
- Provide telephone and clinic triage as assigned.
- Documents patient history and prepare patient for provider examination.
- Observe, record, and report patient condition and reaction to medications and treatments.
- Initiate diagnostic tests and administer medications and treatments per provider’s orders.
- Prepare clinic equipment and assist provider during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
- Assist in coordination of patient flow throughout the clinic.
- Accurately and efficiently enters and updates patient information using the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Prioritize in-person, written, and phone requests for information and advice; ensure patient concerns are addressed within two business days.
- Assists in health education for patients and family.
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms with appropriate supplies on a weekly basis. Clean dirty instruments daily as necessary for transport to Central Sterilization.
- Assist with orientation of residents, assists with employee health requirements for residents
- Assist with employee health requirements for residents
- Implements policies, procedures, and document employee health encounters within one (1) business day
- Coordinates clinic wide initiatives as needed
- Performs inmate intakes including nurse visits and triage
- Assist with medication refills
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current WA State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Minimum one (1) year experience in urgent or ambulatory care within the last three (3) years
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in starting and maintaining IV's
- Demonstrable triage and assessment skills
