What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide confidential non-medical counseling services to military members and their families
- Assess immediate risk and biopsychosocial needs of participants
- Make appropriate referrals for resources and treatment
- Utilize clinical expertise, professional judgment, and best practices
- Execute duty to warn/mandated reporting processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Current, valid, unrestricted counseling license/certification from the state of Virginia
- Master's degree or PhD in a mental health related field
- Minimum 4 years post-masters clinical experience
- Knowledge and experience with Employee Assistance Programs
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge and experience in crisis management
- Solid understanding of Z-codes
- Proficient with multiple software and system applications
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities and manage caseload
- Passion for helping the military community
