      Job Description

      Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking Part Time | Lifeguards for the beautiful new Barton Creek Country Club! If you love hospitality, creating amazing customer experiences, and the structure and benefits that come from working with a hotel company then you will love working with Omni!

      The Lifeguard Instructor role is dedicated to providing quality service that exceeds Guest and Member expectations. The Lifeguard Instructor works to create guests for life, by proactively embracing the service standards, adhering to safety regulations and gaining the knowledge to assist guests with any and all needs.

      Responsibilities

      • Successfully complete the International Lifeguard Training Program and ongoing training requirements.
      • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
      • Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts as immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patron’s events of emergency.
      • Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
      • Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain a high standard of customer service.
      • Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.
      • Prepares and maintains appropriate activity reports and daily log of events.
      • Handles or refers other problems and situations as they arise within the facility to the Manager.
      • Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
      • Ability to work both independently and in team procedures.
      • Attend department meetings as scheduled along with department staff
      • Maintains continuous observation of pool, deck, and surrounding areas to ensure apparent safety hazards are reported and corrected promptly.
      • Efficient organization of work areas.
      • Ensuring that all opening and closing duties are completed, e.g. locking area, turning off equipment and lights, etc…

      Qualifications

      • Must be minimum of 16 years of age.
      • Previous lifeguard experience preferred.
      • CPR/AED Certification required.
