      Overview

      It is the responsibility of the Lifeguard to properly supervise all swimming areas to ensure guest safety at all times. Lifeguards will be expected to maintain a professional attitude and assist guests with general questions regarding the pool and the Golden Nugget property. Lifeguards will additionally be expected to help maintain the general cleanliness of the Pool area and assist the Pool Operations team with day to day tasks.


      Responsibilities

      • Responsible for welcoming guests to the pool as well as monitoring guest items to ensure departmental policies and procedures are upheld.
      • Must have an outgoing / can do attitude.
      • Must be able to lift 50lbs repeatedly throughout a 8-10 hour shift, while working in temps ranging from 40 – 120 degrees.
      • Candidate must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time while monitoring the pool deck ensuring guest conditions are desirable and safe.
      • Candidate must be able to problem solve while under pressure.
      • Candidate must be able to manage own time as well as other when placed in a leadership position.
      • Candidate must be punctual and maintain good standings with attendance within the operation.

      Qualifications

      • Obtain a valid Lifeguard CPR/AED Certification.
      • Excellent analytical, problem solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills.
      • Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality result.
      • High School Diploma or GED (or actively seeking).
      • A minimum of 6 months customer service experience in hospitality (or equivalent).
      • Minimum age requirement is 16.
