Job Description

- Install, configure, and maintain Ubuntu Server systems in physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
- Monitor server performance and implement system tuning and optimization.
- Manage system security, including user access, firewalls, patching, and hardening.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting (Bash, Python, etc.).
- Manage system backups, disaster recovery, and failover solutions.
- Configure and maintain services such as Apache/Nginx, MySQL/MongoDB, SSH, DNS, FTP, Redis, RabbitMQ and others.
- Administer virtualization platforms (KVM) and our private cloud
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, processes, and procedures.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support deployment pipelines and CI/CD
- 3+ years of experience as a Linux or System Administrator.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Enthusiasm to grow and learn from experienced colleagues
- Process oriented working style with clear goal direction and output focus
- Ubuntu or Linux-related certifications (e.g., LPIC, CompTIA Linux+) are a plus.
- Strong experience with Ubuntu Server (22.04 or newer).
- Proficiency in Linux command-line tools and shell scripting.
- Familiarity with system monitoring tools
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
- Experience with version control tools like Git.
- Knowledge of bash scripting is a plus
- Familiarity with administration of Apache, PHP, MySQL and MongoDB is a plus

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Linux (Ubuntu) Server Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our Linux-based server infrastructure, consisting of multiple clusters of servers worldwide, running our proprietary technology.
The role will also involve maintaining and updating our preproduction environments, as well as supporting the software engineers in maintaining the Linux based development ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, security, and performance of Ubuntu servers used across our development, staging, and production environments.
The Linux Server Administrator will report directly to the Group Head of R&D and will work directly with the R&D Engineering and Delivery teams to support the expansion of our CI/CD pipelines, according to our ISO27001 certified process, in a fast-paced Agile environment.
