- Help identify, grow, and manage a high performing team to develop customer-first, user-centric, data-driven experience strategists that guide our teams from imagination to realization
- Conduct and analyze both qualitative and quantitative primary research to identify needs, opportunities, and actionable insights
- Conduct secondary research into trends, market opportunities, emerging technologies, and the commercial landscape to identify potential white spaces
- Review and synthesize client documents including research reports, business strategy and performance documents, and brand materials
- Identify key technology, consumer, and business trends to inform product and growth strategy.
- Define the opportunities, insights, and frameworks for the project team to act on that result in increased awareness, growth, and engagement for the client brand
- Develop key business insights that identify areas of opportunity
- Design and facilitate internal and external innovation and ideation sessions
- Help define the brand’s strategic vision using digital and physical interactions as your guide, ultimately contributing to brand growth
- Partner with internal research, analytics, creative, and design partners, as well as various client-side teams (e.g. product management, engineering, UX, etc.) to develop executable ideas that yield tangible and measurable results
- Develop business models to assess the financial implications and profitability of new ideas and prepare recommendations for how to bring new products and services to market
- Create presentations that bring ideas to life in a way that is actionable and tangible for clients, including but not limited to innovation strategies, analyses of customer experiences, and portfolios of ideas
- Develop prototypes, as part of a team, that allow for ideas to be tested and evolved
- Help develop Lippincott POVs that strengthen our thought leadership in the experience innovation space
- Manage large, multi-workstream projects, ensuring successful strategic alignment across workstreams, as well as proactively identify opportunities to deploy digital and strategy resources and grow our work
- Facilitate and participate in internal work sessions, client meetings, and presentations
- Manage experience innovation projects including coordinating with internal teams, research partners, and clients
- Structure workshops, engage stakeholders, and present findings to clients; help lead and structure large digital, experiential, and innovation engagements
- Minimum 8 years of experience across design, advertising, innovation consulting, or within private equity, venture capital, investment banking or a corporate experience innovation team
- Track record of building cases for, and managing and communicating strategic initiatives to both key stakeholders and diverse internal teams
- Comfortable synthesizing large amounts of data to diagnose and structure a problem and operate without perfect data; you can improvise and generate hypotheses based on minimal insights
- Experience working with research and analytics platforms such as Brand Watch, Google Analytics, Omniture, etc., as well as a working knowledge of SEO and strategic use of search algorithms for a brand's advantage
- Strong appreciation for the power of APIs, technology, fast culture and social media, and the role technology plays in elevating design and experience innovation
- Full experience design lifecycle experience, from Ideation to implementation
- Experience managing a high-performing team and enjoy people development as much as the work itself
- Bachelor’s degree in design, humanities, or business; MBA is encouraged, but not required
- Ability to solve problems critically, logically, and creatively, turning insights into ideas and ideas into actionable plans
- Be rigorous in synthesizing inputs and developing insights
- Ability to translate complex quantitative and qualitative data into clearly articulated opportunities
- Work across multiple clients and balance priorities to ensure rigorous, thoughtful, and well-developed deliverables
- Proactive, comfortable with ambiguity, and flexible in the face of shifting client needs due to the rapidly changing nature of the technology space
- A strong communicator and collaborator who can also assume a support role during key creative and design phases of a project.
- An enthusiasm for experience strategy and design, technology, and brands in the commercial world
- A passion for technology and culture, and desire to learn, as well as an interest in sharing your insights and knowledge with your teammates
- Passion to rapidly build expertise on new businesses and industry verticals

As the Senior Director, Experience Strategy, you will work with Lippincott’s key clients, across industries and time zones, to develop innovative new products and services. You will work cross-functionally, bringing digital insight to physical work. You’ll collaborate to solve client challenges. You will utilize your understanding of user experience, innovation, digital culture, and technology to deliver creative solutions that make a difference.

The applicable base pay for this role ranges from $145,000 - $170,000. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position will be eligible for performance-based incentives.
