- Complete Level 2 TQUK Care for children and infants with heart defects and feeding difficulties.
- Complete induction training
- Attend team meetings to share best practice, resolve challenges and offer morale support to others and continue team building
- Complete ongoing 6-weekly supervisions
- Always remain compliant
- Mentoring / buddying new members of staff following completion of probation
- Working to proactively to source additional activities for the children to engage with during term and non-term time.

The Opportunity
As a Childrens Domiciliary Carer, youll join our internal care team team helping to deliver a first-class care service. Working in collaboration with our existing Care Team, you will deliver care to children aged 0 to 19 years, within their own homes and in the community. You will promote positive life experiences and choices and make memories with children who may have short lives.
Youll be responsible for delivering high quality care. Youll build strong relationships with other carers and staff within Lagans Foundation and the families to provide exceptional care at every stage and promote internally and externally the amazing work the charity offers through donated and commissioned care streams.
Main duties of the job
As a Children's Domiciliary Carer, you will join our internal care team team helping to deliver a first-class care service. Role Purpose:
This is variable hours (full-time or part- time) position with Lagans Foundations specialist care team.
The job holder will provide personal care support and play to children aged 0-19 with complex health conditions who live within their own homes. You will complete a comprehensive training program, which is monitored through mentorship, observation and supervision and formal assessment to support you to gain your confidence and the professional skills and behaviours required for you to competently carry out this role.
You will be expected to work a variety of shifts in accordance with the needs of the children and their families and the charity itself.
Breadth of Responsibility:
Manage relationships and health outcomes of the children and families you work with.
Remain compliant with the policies, procedures, training, and any other requirements of the role. This may relate to any future Covid or pandemic restrictions which the organisation are required to implement.
Help to promote the work of the charity, Lagans Foundation, and offer assistance to the fundraising team, through fun ideas, attendance of events, volunteering or hosting a fundraiser.
You will show dedication to ensure positive change and outcomes key performance indicators are met.
Key Performance Measurements:
Quality and Efficiency Responsible for delivering the highest possible care standards
Professional Competency
o Maintain up to date knowledge and professional practice through CPD
o Attend all training requested and complete by deadlines
o Attend team meetings, supervisions and observation sessions
Time Keeping Deliver hours care assigned on the rota
Working relationships Attend and engage with other team members at team meetings
Accuracy Submit visit records / documentation on completion of each visit
Administration:
Carry out all the administrative duties in the health support process such as logging visit records, accident forms, safeguarding reports, mileage claims
Accurate and timely management of documentation and reporting.
Accurate and timely attendance and logging in and out of visits as per the rota and policy.
Accurate medicine administration and reporting as per policy and training.
Feedback on risk assessment and care plans so managers can make changes effectively and in a timely manner to support other carers and keep the child safe.
