  Position Summary:

  Responsible for assisting customers with transfer of merchandise can be from one cart to another or loading into a customer’s vehicle. Maintain the parking lot clean and organized. Assist as back-up to Porter.

  Essential Functions:

  1. Assist customers in loading merchandise into vehichles
  2. Assist Cashiers and customers with cart to cart transfers as needed.
  3. Maintains parking lot clean and organized by removing garbage such as empty boxes, and plastic containers customers may leave behind and by returning carts to their assigned areas.
  4. Performs minor repairs on carts such as tightening nuts and bolts.
  5. Backs-up Porter when needed. This includes cleaning restrooms, restocking paper in bathrooms and breakrooms, assisting with spills, emptying garbage and other such duties.
  6. May be called upon to assist in stocking and moving merchandise

  Other Responsibilities:

  1. Performs other work-related duties as required and assigned.

  1. Lift/Carry Abilities (measured for maximum or average load)
     1. Lift – 100 lbs
     2. Carry strength (50’ or less) – 50 lbs
     3. Frequent lift/carry (> 12x/hour) – 50 lbs
     4. Constant lift/carry (> 30x/hr) – 20 lbs
     5. Push/Pull – 500lbs
  2. Physical Aptitudes (rated based on level of skill involved)
     1. Agility/dynamic balance 80-100%
     2. Finger dexterity – 80-100%
     3. Manual dexterity – 80 – 100%
  3. Posture Tolerance (rated based on frequency or time involved)
     1. Stand/walk – constantly
     2. Reach above shoulder level – occasionally
     3. Twist/turn head – constantly
     4. Bend over/stoop – frequently
     5. Climb steps/ladder – occasionally
     6. Kneel/squat - occasionally

  Work Environment:

  1. Requires frequent exposure to ambient temperatures as most work is performed outdoors.
  2. Equipment in motion (forklifts, electric pallet jacks, scooters, floor scrubbers)
