      About the Unit

      Yara Belle Plaine is a world class producer of nitrogen fertilizer that contributes to Yara International’s mission to responsibly feed the world and protect the planet and the vision of a collaborative society, a world without hunger and a planet respected. Belle Plaine is located in Saskatchewan, Canada 50 km west of Regina on highway #1.

      Responsibilities

      • This position is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of load-out equipment to load Ammonia, UAN/DEF, and Urea.
      • Loading Urea (Ag grade and Feed Grade) into rail and truck bulk carriers.
      • Inspection, hook up, loading, disconnecting, final inspection of NH3 tank trucks.
      • Inspection, taring, hook up, loading, disconnecting, weighing out and final inspection of NH3 tank cars and UAN & DEF rail cars
      • Monitor/oversee UAN/DEF self-load operation.
      • Operate urea loading control system and dedusting control system.
      • Inspection, loading sealing/final inspection and recording hopper car shipments.
      • Preparing Urea, Ammonia and UAN DEF systems for maintenance.

      Education, Experience & Skill

      • Grade 12 diploma
      • Strong knowledge of safety programs and emergency response procedures.
      • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
      • Ability to operate Front-end loader, Forklift, Locomotive, Track mobile, Zoom Boom and Bobcat.
      • TDG, WHMIS Certificates.
      • Must have computer skills.

      • This is a 6 month term position
      • Must be able to work shift work
      • This is a safety sensitive position.
