      JOB DESCRIPTION


      JOB SUMMARY

      A Loan Financial Processing Coordinator Senior works under limited supervision to perform complex loan financial processing functions. Applies and balances payments to loan servicing system, completes loan payoff transactions inclusive of borrower refunds, and researches rejected payments as required for the commercial loan portfolio. Oversees the reconciliation of the Payment Suspense, Real Estate Insurance Claim Suspense, and General Ledgers daily. Researches rejected payments and completes Branch Capture reporting. Performs independently, and provides training for entry level and level II team members. Exhibits strong competency in all functions of a Financial Processing Coordinator I & II and overall commercial loan servicing processes and procedures. Oversees insurance claim processing inclusive of all customer interaction, and is responsible for issuance of loss payments

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

      Applies and balances payments to loan servicing system. Reviews remittances received by mail and segregates items requiring special handling. Researches discrepancies regarding loan bills and payment schedules. Completes loan payoff transactions and prepares refund checks as required. Prepares wires for Loan Advances and completes the financial processing once approved. Reconciles the Payment Suspense, Real Estate Insurance Claim Suspense, and NG Checks General Ledgers daily. Performs overdraft closeout transactions and initiates Autopay transactions as required. Performs Advance Loan Recovery transactions as required. Completes daily Branch Capture reporting. Ensures that Loan Rejects and Lockbox Rejects are reviewed and reapplied as necessary. Completes Deferred Cost transactions on loans as required. Exhibits strong competency in all functions of Financial Processing Coordinator I & II. Demonstrates strong understanding of core system and related closing industry knowledge. Performs daily tasks independently. Provides training for entry level and level II team members. As assigned, may perform certain supervisory responsibilities in manager's absence. Oversees insurance claim processing inclusive of all customer interaction, and is responsible for issuance of loss payments. Directs the processing of assumptions and payoffs for funds processing and billing record maintenance. Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required. Where applicable and when performing the responsibilities of the job, employees are accountable to maintain Sarbanes Oxley compliance and adhere to internal control policies and procedures.

      REQUIREMENTS


      EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

      High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred in Finance or equivalent. Minimum five years of commercial loan servicing experience.

      KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

      Excellent knowledge of loan documentation. General knowledge of accounting. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong mathematical skills. Strong organizational skills. Strong customer service skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to train and assist more junior level staff. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Computer literate with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
