      Description

      POSITION PURPOSE:

      Responsible for accurate and timely completion of all new loan documents in accordance with the Bank’s internal lending policy, and state and federal lending regulations, as well as fulfilling the request of borrowers as negotiated by the loan officer. Prefunds, processes and checks new loans, along with reviewing extensions and modifications of existing loans, for compliance with internal and external controls to ensure accuracy of supporting documentation and the completed loan product. Obtains and maintains proficiency in Laser Pro processing software as well as AccuAccount imaging system. Obtains and maintains working knowledge of federal regulations and state statutes impacting the lending function.

      DUTIES, SCOPE, RESPONSIBLIITIES & AUTHORITY:

      Responsible for compliance with all banking regulations which are applicable to the job, including Bank Secrecy Act and information security initiatives.

      Responsible for ensuring new loans, extensions, and modifications are completed accurately and by an established deadline. Reviews requests and determines appropriate loan product and works directly with Loan Assistants and Loan Officers regarding the request. Reviews request and supporting documentation for compliance with regulatory issues and determines that request is within guidelines. Responsible for accurate and timely entry of loans into documentation software for completion of loan documents. Performs post processing review of loans processed by other processors to ensure their accuracy and completion. Responsible for compliance with all banking regulations which are applicable to the job, including Bank Secrecy Act and information security initiatives.

      Receives requests for new loans, extensions, and modifications from Loan Assistants and Loan Officers from Lending Division. Processes requests and upon completion reviews work of other Loan Processors. Upon approval work will be forwarded back to the originating Loan Assistant or Loan Officer for final review. Other duties may be assigned and reviewed by Credit Administration Management.

      Establishes and maintains highly effective communication with Loan Processors, Loan Assistants, and Loan Officers. Collaborates with other employees/officers to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. Offers alternatives when appropriate to solve a problem or achieve a goal.

      Qualifications

      Must obtain and maintain highly specialized knowledge of the Laser Pro processing software as well as AccuAccount imaging software. On-line tutorials and additional training may be completed to assist. Must gain working knowledge of the loan systems and their functionalities to ensure new loan/extension/modification request could be supported by loan systems. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required to be highly effective in this position. Must be able to work well with minimal supervision, have high attention to detail, and must be able to work well under challenging situations, including but not limited to short deadlines, last minutes requests or changes to the original request.

      Proficiency with the Laser Pro processing software as well as AccuAccount imaging software. Additional program proficiencies needed include Banking, Microsoft Office and the use of the Internet. Must be able to operate PC, multi-line telephone, Canon desktop scanner and Sharp multi-function device (print/copy/fax/scan).

      Training will take place in Columbia - Can work from Moberly, Mexico, or Columbia - If working outside of Columbia, will need to travel to Columbia periodically. Mileage will be reimbursed.
