      Job Description

      As a Loan Servicing Specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in processing and ensuring the accuracy of monetary, maintenance, and boarding transactions for consumer and commercial loans across multiple states and banks. Your problem-solving skills, independent analysis, and attention to detail will be essential as you handle various transactions. Additionally, you’ll provide exceptional customer service and support to lending staff, external customers, and participating lending institutions.

      How You'll Spend Your Time

      • You will input and maintain loan data while ensuring quality control for both new and renewed loans.
      • You will interpret legal and financial documents to configure loan systems accurately and prevent future issues.
      • You will handle a high volume of service requests and calls, resolving problems that may directly impact customers.
      • You will monitor system reports to identify and resolve exceptions, including collections and bankruptcy transactions.
      • You will communicate with internal partners, providing research-based solutions and guidance on account servicing.
      • You will calculate amortization, prepare regulatory disclosures, and ensure compliance with mailing requirements.
      • You will complete special projects, maintain loan reports, and adjust consumer loan rates as needed.

      Education & Experience Requirements

      This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Associates Degree in Business or related field of study and/or 1-2 years of experience in loan production or equivalent combination of education and experience.

      • Working knowledge of loan operations and bank related operations, including loan policy
      • Working knowledge of loan systems processing
      • Working knowledge of federal and state lending guidelines and regulations
      • Working knowledge of loan documentation requirements
      • Working knowledge of GAAP as it relates to loan processing.
      • Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations.
      • Good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
      • Good PC skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams; 10 key by touch.
      • Ability to type 30-40 wpm.
      • Ability to adjust priorities to changing circumstances in fast paced, heavy volume atmosphere.
      • Demonstrated independent research and analysis skills.
      • Good organizational skills; detail oriented
      • Ability to follow established standards and use judgment to determine when appropriate to escalate
