      CEFCU member service team members are critical to the success of the credit union. They provide a professional, knowledgeable, and caring experience when members contact us. We are looking for individuals who are personable, articulate, and positive to add to our already awesome team!

      Individuals in the Loan Specialist I role interviews consumer loan applicants over the phone as well as in person. Additionally, they cross-sells additional products and services to develop new business and increase expand product penetration. If granted, works within set lending authority to make prudent and responsible loan decisions.

      Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
      • Informs members of loan decisions including any changes, restrictions and conditions (stipulations).
      • Serves member needs for loans and requires technical and analytical product and service knowledge in all loan products.
      • Provides support to and serves as an information resource to staff and management on loan issues.
      • Gives every opportunity to each loan application by researching sources of additional collateral, income or recommending a counter offer to the original loan request whenever possible.
      • Actively participates in and is held accountable for the attainment of individual and departmental/organizational goals.

      This is a full-time in-office position (minimum 40 hours for the week), with opportunities for over time.

      Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5:30

      Required Qualifications:

      • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
      • Must register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registration (NMLS) to comply with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act).
      • Minimum 1 year previous consumer lending experience


      Preferred:

      • Applicable college courses and/or commensurate experience preferred
      • Previous experience in Dealer Direct Lending

      Summary Pay Range

      The pay range for this position is $25.24 - $29.66.

      Compensation offered may vary based on skills and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at CEFCU.
