- Support the Firm’s lobbyist registration and reporting program.
- Assist with responses to consultations from Service Lines and other business units related to Lobbying and Political Compliance.
- Support Lobbying and Political Compliance monitoring processes to identify and propose solutions to potential risks and matters requiring remediation.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders in developing training, communications, processes, and controls to help the business efficiently operate while remaining compliant with relevant regulations.
- Recommend ways to improve process(es), and/or develop new approaches, calling on your Risk Management and business experience.
- Support the resolution of complex or novel issues related to Lobbying and Political Compliance or other Risk Management processes.
- Assist with the establishment and implementation of project plans, including goals and measures.
- Keep documentation and information on processes current.
- Liaise between clients and members (including leaders) of Risk Management and various other functional areas within the Firm (e.g., Government Contracting, the Office of Public Policy, Finance, IT, Compliance Program Monitoring Center of Excellence).
- Develop relationships, and build a network of people across the Firm.
- Gain a solid understanding of:
- The key requirements of Firm policies and regulators' rules.
- Risk Management areas outside of your core area.
- Relevant and evolving parts of the EY business.

- Ability to manage and meet deadlines while balancing unanticipated and time sensitive matters
- Basic knowledge of project management tools and methodologies
- Previous experience within lobbying and political compliance
- Good working knowledge of computers and common software packages, including analytical tools such as Microsoft Excel
- 3-5+ plus years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Learn and understand the Firm and regulators’ independence rules and policies as well as other risk management initiatives outside your area of expertise.
- Manage tasks and activities in a timely manner and be responsible for specific outcomes.

Risk Management supports our people in managing the risks that arise during our daily working lives. We work closely with all parts of the organization to identify, manage and monitor risk, providing coordinated guidance and assistance on independence, conflicts, compliance, regulatory, policy, security issues, as well as dealing with claims and any queries regarding ethics.
The opportunity
You'll conduct research and analysis across the topics relevant to Lobbying and Political Compliance and provide guidance to Firm personnel. To achieve this, you'll interpret policies and processes, determine required actions, and make recommendations based on Firm guidance and applicable laws. In addition, you'll analyze issues, and document the diligence with which tasks are performed, to help meet the demands of external regulators.

What we offerWe offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $65400 to $115100. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $78500 to $130800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
