      What role you will play in our team

      The Local Content Analyst is responsible for providing local content support to EMGL activities and for supporting EMGL’s local content reporting and analysis.

      Together with Socioeconomic and extended local content team members, duties include Tracking socioeconomic benefits derived from ExxonMobil business, support monitoring, advising on and implementing changes of Guyana local content policy that directly or indirectly impact EMGL’s activities. The Local Content Analyst supports tracking compliance with Guyana local content obligations. Responsibilities include coordination with Human Resources, Procurement, Commercial, Treasurers, Public and Government Affairs and external stakeholders as appropriate.

      What you will do

      • Support Local Content Plan and strategy to address Workforce Development, Supplier Development and related scopes for EMGL’s activities
      • Interface with internal departments and business line management on local content priorities and communications
      • Support appropriate internal planning, stewardship metrics, and reporting processes to track performance and capability against plans for workforce, suppliers and other relevant local content scopes
      • Assist with development of metrics/reports for EMGL leadership / management review and Government submission
      • Support management of process in place to monitor status and effectiveness of local content development with major contractors and other external stakeholders
      • Support local content communications plans and assist in developing and enhancing information on local content
      • Actively identify enhancements in reporting and local content planning and stewardship both internally and with contractors
      • Ability to use local content data analysis to inform strategies and programming
      • Communicate lessons learned and best practices back to ExxonMobil to share with other projects regarding local content development

      About you

      Skills and Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Finance, Accounting or related degree
      • Minimum 5 years' experience in related activities

      Preferred Qualifications / Experience

      • Experience and knowledge of engaging Guyanese stakeholders at all levels (National, Regional, Local and business)
      • Knowledge of Local Content – Workforce Development, Supplier Development and related
      • Experience in project execution with understanding of contracting and procurement
      • Experience in, Economics, Procurement / Contracting, Accounting, Data
      • management and analysis, Community Affairs and/or Business Development
      • Proven ability to manage short deadlines and operate independently.
      • Ability to analyze information and ensure compliance to all applicable authorities
      • Sound written and oral communication skills
      • Experience interfacing with external parties and vendors
      • Proficiency in the use of computers (Word, Excel and Power Point) and possess
      • excellent administrative and organizational competencies; data management
      • software experience an asset
      • Strong ability to think at macro and micro levels
      • Excellent analytical, writing and reporting skills
      • Excellent oral communication and presentation skills
      • Proven organizational and prioritization skills
      • Ability to work effectively in a virtual, multi-cultural team environment
      • Self-starter with results orientation
      • Excellent ability to ‘connect-the-dots’, network and think creatively
      • Strong interpersonal skills; influencing without authority;
      • Knowledge of the local business community
      • Excellent excel skills; tableau, power BI and related an asset
